Wavy hair! What could be more perfect than achieving those perfect “S” curls in laid formation? Waves are all the rage this year, but we all know wavy hair is spontaneous. It has a life of its own!

Some nights, you go to bed praying for a good hair day in the morning, but you never really know what to expect.  So you have to keep a “Bad Hair Day” beanie next to your bed at all times--only girls with wavy hair know the hassle.

Wavy hair girls all know the struggle:

Your biggest fear….humid weather, because the humidity can have you feeling like a poodle and you’ve got a million products in your bathroom to tame the frizz, but none of them really get the job done. Again, can we get a soul clap if we are onto something?

A lot of girls with wavy hair straighten their hair everyday to fit into the standards of beauty our society has instilled in us since childhood. Straight hair has been coined as the ideal, but we’re not here to tell you how to fit into this model of beauty.

We’re here to tell you to #EmbraceThoseWaves! Wavy hair is unique, not everyone has the same waves and textures. You’ve got bits of straight hair with lots of bounce and movement. When you walk down the street, no one has the same waves as you! Your hair is uniquely beautiful and has been passed down from generations of gorgeous women with waves. So #EmbraceThoseWaves!

The key to manage your waves is a balanced hair routine. You don’t want to over apply product, but neither use too little. Remember too much product can damage natural texture and leave your hair with product overload :( which is never good.

If you want to achieve your best wave, getting to know your diffuser is a great start. A diffuser is designed to work for people who have dry, frizzy hair. Your diffuser attaches at the end of your blow dryer and allows you to protect your hair from direct heat, allowing your hair to dry without the standard heat damage.

Looking for a line that provides comprehensive care to your waves? Try OGX's Quenching+ Coconut Curls.

Looking for a line that provides comprehensive care to your waves? Try OGX's Quenching+ Coconut Curls.

Once you become the master of the diffuser, we recommend using OGX’s line of Quenching+ Coconut Curls. This line leaves your hair super soft and smelling like an island soothie all day long and it’s sulfate free, so you won’t get left with hair that feels dry and crispy.

This line is made to hydrate those waves with a blend of coconut oils that will help improve shine and softness in your waves and the honey in the product will boost your wavy waves and help tame frizz, not to mention, it add crazy body to those lovely locks.

Remember, your waves are what makes you unique! Put down the flat iron and #EmbraceThoseWaves!
