It’s a no brainer that diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Whether on your wrist, around your neck, or all over your face they command attention and make everything more fabulous. This trend is one that comes to no surprise to many people, as it has been around for quite some time. It most often can go hand in hand with SFX makeup, especially when rhinestones are involved with the process. However, makeup artists have used little gems to accentuate eye makeup and eyeliner by placing them on inner corners, below the eye, or along a sharp wing.

After all, nothing says “extra” like a diamond eyeliner wing. If rhinestones aren’t your thing, the trend also calls for glitter! Sparkly freckles have taken the gram by storm and it’s easy to achieve. These can be great techniques for concerts, festivals, or extravagant holiday parties.

More recently, lip art is one of the trends that has taken Instagram by storm. Whether you wish to go for an extreme look that is likely to turn heads at any special event, or you prefer to keep the bling accents to a minimum, both options will keep you on trend. It’s one of the easiests trends to master, as all you need is a little eyelash glue and accent rhinestones from any craft store.

Products to look for:

  • Fake rhinestones
  • Eyelash glue or latex adhesive
  • NYX Loose glitter

  • Too Faced Liquified Gold Lip Gloss ($21): If you’ve ever wanted to wear gold beyond your necklaces and rings, then try out the Too faced Gold Lip Gloss. Like pure gold melting on your lips, you’ll bring this Bling trend to the next level. Newer on the market, it is sure to be a hit to all you divas!
  • Jouer Funfetti Lip Topper ($16): The new Jouer Funfetti Lip Topper is a more “subtle” and still fun way to add a pop to your look. Wear it alone as a gloss, or on top of a vibrant lip to make yourself shine like a diamond.

  • Metallic face freckle temporary tattoos ($14): For a fun touch to your basic look, add some faux metallic freckles! This has been seen around social media from concerts to everyday aesthetics. It can be an easy way to sport some bling, and they come right off with a little bit of water at the end of the day!
