Cleopatra, the original #GirlBoss and #BeautyGoals Queen. When she wasn’t ruling her Egyptian empire at the age of 17, she was creating the legendary wing tip eyeliner look. Talk about being ahead of her time! Not on (1).png

Her fearlessness and her intense beauty look has made her an all-time favorite in the beauty world and also a classic Halloween look, which is why you probably have seen this look at every Halloween party, every year.

However, every Cleopatra-inspired look will look different. The key to achieving a unique and individual makeup look is replicating the look with your own facial features in mind. No two Cleopatras will ever look the same!

There are three features to keep in mind as you replicate the Cleopatra look: eyes, contour, and hair. Your eyes, facial structure, and hair are different from the other Cleopatra at the party. Therefore, you need to practice the most basic makeup before diving into creating the Cleopatra look. It isn’t an easy look to achieve because you need to be very familiar with the structure of your face, but this classic Halloween look is worth trying at least once!

For the eyes, blue and gold will be the central colors to the look. Cleopatra’s eye makeup isn’t exactly a smokey eye or neutral look, which is the tricky part. In addition, you need to be a master at winged eyeliner and applying false lashes. A deep and dark contour is important in emulating the look, as well as keeping a bronzed face.

Cleopatra’s hair may be more difficult to achieve than the makeup. If you already have short, straight hair, then the look will be easier for you to achieve. However, if you have long or textured hair, then a wig may be an easier option.

As for the clothing, a long white dress with a gold belt will complete the look. You have the option of either buying a Halloween costume or making your own DIY costume.

  1. Kill those brows and slay your base: Cleopatra had a legendary beauty routine and it all started with her giving her eyebrows the perfect shape. Remember our eyebrows frame our face, so make sure to sculpt them properly. Along with this step, make sure you pay extra attention to the base. So prepare your foundation, primer, and moisturizer, properly.

  2. All about the eyes: This is hands down of the most important part to your Cleopatra look...the eyes. You have to bring it with your eye game! Cleopatra set the standard for the dramatic look. Let your imagination run wild for this step. You can do a glitter cut crease over an intense smokey eye or even use a burnt bold orange to set your base. This is the time to go big or go home!

  3. Draw your cat eye: YAS! This is the time to go over the top and really bring the drama. Create an over exaggerated wing tip to pay homage to Cleopatra!

  4. Accessorize: If you want to add any details to your look, this is the time to do so. You can always a little gold body shimmer to your neck and chest area or even add a few rhinestones to your look. Remember, you can never go overboard for this look!
