These are the 6 Best Swimsuits for #Summer18
Though it seems the days of summer are flying by, there is still time to flaunt those swimsuits! We are all about versatility when it comes to swim and beachwear this season. You would be surprised by how much you can dress up your suit with a few accessories! We wanted to bring you this lookbook as summer begins to wind down and the temperature is still hot.
That’s why we’re teaming up with some of the hottest upcoming swimwear brands, to show you the best swimwear trends we’re seeing this #Summer18. But first, always remember for any beach/pool activity, taking care of your skin is always key!
When it comes to your makeup for a day out in the sun, we can’t stress enough how important sunscreen is! A great one that can double as a primer before makeup is Glossier’s Invisible Shield ($25) that has a stickier finish but is a chemical sunscreen. Coola Mineral Matte sunscreen lotion ($36) and Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen ($32) are great for those with oilier skin that don’t want that shiny look after applying. There’s even one for makeup junkies from Coola that is a setting spray with SPF 30!
After the essentials, it’s time to perfect that ultra glowy natural look that makes you look like your skin was sunkissed. For the face, we used Fenty foundation for the base with MAC’s shimmer Prep+Prime ($26). However, you can use your favorite drugstore foundation. When it comes to these looks though, the highlight can go beyond the face.
Glow oils and lotions are all the rage right now, with ones from Becca Cosmetics and even Fenty! We used one from Melanie Mills Hollywood that can be applied to both the face and body. The Gleam Body Radiance makeup is also very affordable and can be as intense as you want it.
Of course, all eyes will be on your fit! We wanted to bring you some looks from upcoming designer brands like Koko D and Hackwith Design House. Koko D brings you some vibrant and fun swimsuit designs that are sure to make you look poppin' and has major Carribean festival vibes. Hackwith is not only made for all types of bodies, but they try their best to be environmentally friendly. They have a smaller selection of suits, but a wide variety of clothes.
This blue one piece from Koko D is super simple and stylish with the neon green tie! We kept with them by accessorizing with a patterned bandana around the head. The gold plated earrings are perfect to top it off as they compliment the blue. Details are important here and they really make the look! Even if you have a simple base, you can always dress it up.
If you're a department store girl, this one is for you! This turquoise swimsuit by Jessica Simpson plays with a cool color and shapes and comes at an affordable price, $24.99 at Marshall's! The cut shows off some skin but keeps it more comfortable than a two piece. This look plays a lot with the contrast between the blue of the suit and the warmer tones of the accessories! It’s like you’re drawing inspiration from the sun and the sea at the beach. That dramatic headscarf helps to balance out the brightness of the blue, especially when coupled with those bold bangles. Who says you can’t mix and match your colors combos!
Black and white will forever be a classic look. By dressing up this black two piece with a white shirt, we made it more fun for a day hanging with your friends. It is very reminiscent of that 90’s feel but we kept it modern with the block necklace and gold earrings! This style can be done with any two piece too, which is why we love it. These big Quay sunglasses from the Desi Perkins collab are also perfect for relaxing in the sun.
This versatile white one piece from Hackwith Design ($155) can be used as swimwear or a bodysuit! Drama radiates from this iconic sun hat that we used to add flair. You don’t have to go this big to add something to your outfit, but a whimsical straw hat or a smaller rim hat will do.
We made full face sun visors fashionable! This holographic visor makes this pink and green suit from Koko D even more of a look. The design makes the typical two piece even more unique as the placement of the green straps draws eyes in. Not much needs to be added to a suit that is both wearable and fun.
