Fall Look Book: The 5 Best Looks for Fall
The Au Natural
If you’re the type of girl to go au natural every day, consider the Fall season the perfect opportunity to play it up and have some fun!
You don’t have to pack makeup on to achieve a natural beauty look. The best part about the natural beauty woman is her confidence in embracing what she was born with and there’s nothing wrong with playing around with makeup to enhance your best features.
Rich brown shadows are trendy every Fall season and never go out of style. We’ve been loving Morphe’s 35O Nature Glow eyeshadow palette because it has every color you need to complete any Fall inspired eye look. As for the lashes, we can’t forget the falsies! For this look, we used Be Bella lashes in #62. If you ever make any mistakes while applying lash glue, a good hack is covering up any mishaps with liquid eyeliner! We love ELF’s liquid liner because it’s affordable and reliable for daily wear.
The natural beauty can never forget her highlight! Makeup Revolution’s highlighter in Gold Addict gives off a natural glow for the Fall season. You don’t have to pack on much to achieve the glow you desire. To compliment the natural highlight, we’ve been loving a nude lip. Fall season typically calls for muaves or deep reds, but there’s nothing wrong with rocking a nude lip! One of our favorite nude lip for women of color has to be Kissing Grace in the shade Peace of Mind.
The Glam Queen
For this beauty, you never leave the house without looking fabulous! You do it all, the eyes, contour, blush, highlight, and lips. You never skip a single step. This Fall season, your go-to eyeshadow colors will be rosy pinks and brown mattes. If you haven’t grabbed Morphe’s 35O Nature Glow eyeshadow palette, you need to get your hands on it! The palette is extremely versatile and it has every color you need for this season. Make a statement with a thick winged liner and false lashes to show off the Glam Queen that you are inside and out.
If you’re a Glam Queen, you already know the 3-step rule: contour, blush, and highlight. For the fall season, the Glam Queen is always going for the deep contour. Natural is not acceptable. To achieve the deep and dramatic contour, we recommend using Crown Brush’s contour palette.
Our favorite blush for the Fall season is MAC’s blush in Raizin, a golden reddish-brown matte shade. It’s the perfect match to any deep contour look. Pack on that golden glow with Anastasia Beverly Hill’s highlighter in Sun Dipped to complete the full glam look. The lips cannot be forgotten. A rosy-mauve almost suits any skin tone and we’ve been loving Glam Queen Cosmetics liquid lipstick in the shade #002.
The Blushing Beauty
You’re in love with soft and gentle makeup looks and this Fall season your color is blushing pink! You’ll find the best mix of pinks and browns for your eyeshadow looks in Morphe’s 35S eyeshadow palette. Show off and enhance your flirty lashes with loads of mascara and false lashes. Of course, your go-to product for your brows would have to be the staple, Anastasia Beverly Hill's eyebrow pomade!
As for the cheeks, you’re always naturally blushing. However, a girl can never have too much blush on! We’ve found your staple blush for this fall season and it is a personal favorite of Mocha Girl Beauty staff. We are obsessed with the upcoming indie makeup line Janel Cosmetics and their line of liquid blushes. These blush drops can be used to create a buildable blush tint and can be used alone or to create a strobing effect.
For your lipstick, NYX’s liquid suede cream lipstick in Sandstorm is going to be your lip color staple this fall!
The Bohemian Goddess
You should prioritize and master the perfect contour, and you can read The 9 Rules of Contouring to learn how to achieve this. If you’ve got drier skin during the Fall season, we recommend using a cream contour kit to prevent your skin from flaking. We love NYX's cream contour kits, as they are affordable and super creamy!
Next, be sure to show off your gorgeous lashes with some umpf! We love falsies and we can’t get enough of Glam Queen Cosmetics' cruelty-free lashes. For the eyes, go for a natural gold to add some shimmer to your doll eyes! We love L.A. Color’s gold pigment because you can gradually add more product for a more dramatic look if you’re in the daring mood. Be sure to use a bit of setting spray to wet your brush before applying loose pigments, you don’t want the glitter to fly all over your face!
To compliment the golden eye look, we love pairing gold highlights to enhance the color of your skin, especially for women of color with darker hues. Our favorite #glowup tip is layering two different highlighters to achieve the ultimate glow. For this look, we layered MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish in Cheeky Bronze and Makeup Revolution’s highlighter in Gold Addict.
Last, but not least, is the lips! Deep purples compliment darker skin tones beautifully and we’ve fallen in love with Surrendered Heart by Kissing Grace. The lipstick is extremely creamy and moisturizing for the chilly Fall weather!
The Femme Fatale
This mysterious chica is always in a daring mood. You love Fall for its dark gloomy weather and take advantage of any opportunity to rock a smoky eye and red lip! To achieve the ultimate smoky eye, you don’t need to invest in an expensive, high-end palette. Our favorite eye palette for this Fall is Morphe’s 35O Nature Glow eyeshadow palette. You can go as dark or light as you would like for any smokey eye. Complete the final look with thick winged liner and some falsies and you’re out the door!
For the cheeks, you don’t have to do much. Let the smokey eye do the talking for you! Keep it simple with a light contour and highlight. Our favorite highlighters to complement smokey eye looks are MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes in Soft and Gentle and Global Glow. You can’t go wrong with either one, or both!
The perfect red lip color this fall season is Acrane Cosmetics' liquid lipstick in Oral Behavior. It’s a bright red and extremely long-wearing for any upcoming holiday event!
