Heyyy, Girl!

Mocha Girl Beauty was founded with one goal in mind: to inspire a community of Brown women who are often excluded and overlooked in both the beauty and fashion industry. We are aiming to build the first-ever digital media destination platform that produces original content centered around the Millennial Brown woman!

Yas! Brown girls rejoice! We were able to get our hands on this upcoming luxury skincare line--Simply Scentful. Now, Veronica Jordan-Fairman founded this line after her personal battle with psoriasis. She noticed that there was nothing on the market to help her children cope with their eczema. Between both skin conditions, she decided to research the benefits of natural oils in order to aid her and her family’s skin.

This brand is the classic story of necessity breeding invention. Through her research, she uncovered that coconut oil and shea butter have medicinal properties to aid in skin restoration and treatment, and began experimenting with the combination of exfoliants and moisturizers for optimal results. Once she found the perfect formula, Simply Scentful Skincare was born.

This line aims to be an affordable, all-natural, luxury skincare company dedicated to providing quality products that are beneficial for healthy skin. Let’s just say the Mocha Girl Beauty team was elated to try out these products.

We were able to try out:

  • Citrus kiss body butter ($10)

  • Floral infused body oil (2) in lavender and rose buds ($8)

  • Lavender rain foaming sugar scrub ($10)

  • Rose bath tea ($7)

  • Charcoal purifying mask ($15)
