Heyyy, Girl!

Mocha Girl Beauty was founded with one goal in mind: to inspire a community of Brown women who are often excluded and overlooked in both the beauty and fashion industry. We are aiming to build the first-ever digital media destination platform that produces original content centered around the Millennial Brown woman!

Yas! Ambitious women rejoice! If you are a lippie lover and enjoy all things glitter, you may want to read this review from start to finish.

We were able to get our hands on yet another Brown Girl friendly makeup brand that brings plenty of color to your everyday makeup routine.

Meet 52 Cosmetics, founded by two highly ambitious female founders, who are turning their side hustle into a full-on lifestyle. Both Sarah Ward and Kyla Pendleton (who is also a college student) are on a mission to provide high-quality cosmetics at a reasonable price and bring a fun & fresh look to the makeup community.

But behind the brand, there’s a deeper meaning to 52 Cosmetics. The brand name stems from Kyla’s grandmother who passed away shortly before the brand launched and she wanted to pay homage to her. Although both founders work full-time, they’re still working hard on their dream and serving us with bold and pigmented products.

Here’s what our team thought about their:

-Mystique Eyeshadow Palette ($22)

-Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade “Amanda” ($10)
