One of the best parts of the holidays is that there is no shortage of gold makeup on the market. You can rock this accent color as the central focus of your look with no regrets, as it gives a glamorous spin to the monochromatic look.

Start off with some smokey colors on the out parts of your lid, making sure they are neutral browns or greys. You can leave it here, and use a dab of highlighter to lighten your eyes or you can add an extra step.

Using your favorite glitter gold shadows, focus on the centers and inner corners of your eyes! Brands like ColourPop and NYX have some gold shadows you can try out. Make your lips look like they’re worth a million by topping them with gold. We used the MAC Goldmine and a FaceAtelier mixing medium to achieve this bomb look!

For the face, keep it toned down. Let the gold glitter speak for itself! You don’t want to look like a golden holiday ornament. Since gold glitter is extremely reflective of light, we recommend using a matte foundation.

If you have dry skin, be sure to moisturize well! You don’t want your skin to flake and distract from the beautiful glitter already on your face. If you absolutely love dewy foundation, at least consider using a mattifying powder to set the look.

You are the type to throw out clapbacks at holiday parties like Tinkerbell throws out fairy dust! And that fairy dust is surely to land on all the right places on your face. You know you are going to stand out at any holiday party, so might as well shine bright everywhere, from your bold and bright hair to your memorizing makeup.

You always take highlighters to a whole new level. For the holiday season, put a new spin on the usual placement of highlighter and go all out on your eyes and lips. With your fearless personality, we recommend using a bold color as well.

Break free from the typical reds of the holiday season and stand out from the crowd with an iridescent purple. Bonus points if you already have purple hair!

For the eyes, smokey looks are typical of every holiday season. However, you can mix it up by adding purple shadows and topping off the lid with an iridescent shadow or loose glitter. If you’re using loose glitter, be sure to spray your eyeshadow brush with a bit of setting spray to lock the shadow in.

As for the lips, compliment the eyes with a matching lipstick. If you don’t own any purple lipsticks, you can always use the same loose glitter you used for the eyes and mix it with some clear gloss!

With such a classic style, your makeup becomes the middle ground between natural and glam. You are looking to achieve the “I put effort into my makeup,” yet it says “this is all natural.”

In order to do this, you want to start with base makeup that is also refreshing for your skin. Try using the Mario Badescu Aloe spray as both a primer and setting spray for that dewy glowing skin! For foundation, we recommend the Neutrogena brand, as they have products that are more tailored to sensitive skin. Fill in your brows to your desired shape, but it’s alright to not go so bold for this makeup!

The eyes are less of a statement here, and more of a piece of the whole picture. Using the MAC Goldmine eyeshadow, you want to put it all over your lid, and add another layer on the inner corners. It is more about brightening your eyes and giving a slight shine to them, instead of a huge pop of glitter.

Try your hand at a nice cat-eye or vintage wing to tie together the eyeshadow. On the lips, keep it rosy with Elf’s Rose lipstick, and dab some loose glitter on top for added shine. You’ll be a true stunner this season no doubt!

The holidays would not be complete without some glitter or shine dazzling your face! When doing your makeup this time of year, there is no excuse needed to try out some sparkly lids or glitter liner.

In order to achieve these glam looks you want to make sure your face has an even base as it will ensure your makeup stands out. Always prime using beloved products like the Benefit Poreless Primer and use your favorite foundation in order to cover redness or uneven skin tone!

We suggest the Fit Me Foundation stick for easy application! If you want to stay on the softer side, color correct with concealers.

This look calls for bold everything, including on-point brows and a snatched face. The main attraction to your look is, of course, glitter. Loose glitters are great if you want to build up the shimmer and you can mix whatever colors you choose to match your outfit, or your hair!

To add more staying power to loose glitter, mix it with liquid pigments or glitter glue. In order to keep your eyes as the focal point, use a matte lip color to finish off the look. From party to family dinner, people will be raving about your look!
