December Makeup Trends We're Loving
We’ve spent the past few months searching all over Instagram, beauty blogs and Pinterest to bring you the boldest & the best makeup trends out there--especially for brown girls. We are so happy to introduce you to our monthly trend report that feature the hottest makeup looks trending on social media.
If you’re in some need of makeup inspo for that weekend party or you want to step out of your comfort zone and want to try something bold, and daring, these looks will have your Instagram posts blowing up! They maybe a little challenging, but the editorial payoff will be insane.
We’re breaking up these trends into three days! So make sure you check back everyday this week to see what else we are featuring for this month’s hottest trend!
Bored of black liner? Try its partner-in-crime, white eyeliner! The contrast against dark skin tones make eyes pop and gives them a wider appearance! Complement the eyeliner with a bold lip color to complete the bold look. Using a bright red will give major Cruella Di Vil vibes and have people stepping aside for you. In our look though, we went even bolder by pairing the eye-catching liner with an even more unique two-toned lip.
The top lip is a light magenta and the bottom lip is a muted indigo. We would even go for a two-toned red lip with the top lip being more of a coral and the bottom lip being a red-orange. Add some blinding chunky glitter highlight and call it a going out look!
Colorful liners look especially bada** when paired with another color. The options are endless with pairing two liners on the top lid or black on top and white on the bottom. We also love putting a white liner over a purple or lavender eyeshadow, as seen in Manny Mua’s Full Face of Drugstore Makeup video back in February of 2016.
He paired the bottom lashline with a statement green. Alyssa Forever also rocks the graphic liner look in her EASY Winged Eyeliner with Bold Matte Lips video. Her look is easily doable and totally perfect for the days when you feel a little extra.
Ulla Johnson models rocked white liner under the eye to add comic-like features to the simplistic, but glowy look. Tadashi Shoji went for a more colorful approach and had bright blues all over the eye and finished it off with a bright blue liner in the waterline.
To recreate this look, we recommend the NYX Jumbo Pencil in “Milk” and add a white shadow on top to make it more opaque. As for a liquid liner, the NYX Vivid Bright Liner is easy to apply and has the brightest results. The Marc Jacobs and ColourPop gel liners have amazing staying power in waterline. Cry all you want, they will stay!
